What do I do once I land in Malaga?
Follow the directions for customs entry into the country. I typically make a beeline as quickly as possible since this is the longest wait time for entry. This is divided into non-EU visitors and EU visitors to the country – enter the correct passport section. Make sure that you do have your passport information ready and no other documentation is required. Have your translator app ready just in case you need to talk with someone in Spanish.
After passing customs, go directly to the carousels at 31-34 and check the board for your flight arrival and assigned carousel. Luggage carts are free to use.
US / UK along with many non-EU residents to the country are allowed 90 days on a tourist visa.
Arrival at the new T3 Terminal
The new international terminal is the T3 terminal which was inaugurated in March 2010 for mostly European carriers and the T2 terminal for non EU destinations and low cost carriers.
The T3 terminal is located close to the commuter train station connecting to Malaga City and other regional sites. Also are connections to bus services and rental car pick ups located next to the train station location.

There is a “transportation hub” outside of T3, where you have taxi, bus, and train options.

The bus station can be accessed from the arrivals level both inside and outside. “there is no consistent services, so consider booking your bus service in advance to avoid any inconvenience or full buses.

The train station is located underground. It runs to the main train station in Malaga and various points in the area. Signs in the airport clearly mark how to make your way down to the underground stations.

If you are renting a car while you are with us, please follow signs in the airport going towards the commuter train station and the rental car platform with your corresponding shuttle pick up service which is located outside of the airport.
What do I do if I am arriving by train?

If you are arriving via long distance train at Malaga’s train station, Maria Zambrano, access to the airport is via the commuter rail service to the airport which is about 10 minutes from the commuter service. Follow the signs from the main train station to the commuter rail service called xxxx
Departures at Malaga Airport
You’ll find that typical departures at Malaga Airport are typical and streamlined for checkin processes. You will find the check in process direct and Departure boards showing the updated information for different airlines/flights and checkin gates.
TSA is standard after your check in along with customs exit from Spain requiring passport and boarding passes and typical TSA clearance procedures including liquids, laptop/electronics and clothing placed into the bins and additional security check at the gates for boarding.
