One of my favorite places to visit in the Costa del Sol is Torremolinos with it’s endless stretch of beaches and walking promenades.

Originally a sleepy fisherman’s village in its past, Torremolinos is now the center of beach life in the Costa del Sol. You can explore the best beaches in Torremolinos by just walking the main walking promenade that skirts the main six beaches that line 7 km of beautiful coastline.

The beach scene here in Torremolinos is like a well-oiled machine with a popular walking promenade, beach bars (chiringuitos), seafood restaurants, tapas bars and a variety of souvenir and tourist shops. You can find so many cool hangout spots to enjoy, places to jog or exercise on the beach, meditate or enjoy a lively volleyball match depending on what your preferences for beach activity or water sport you are into.

We break down all the 6 urban beaches of Torremolinos to explore and the amenities that you will find in each beach area.

El Bajondillo Beach

El Bajondillo Beach

One of the most popular and scenic beach spots is El Bajondillo Beach. Centrally located and a few meters from famous Calle de San Miguel. With almost one kilometer in length, this beach fits in thousands of visitors daily.

El Bandello is well known for its small grove of palm trees where it’s a given photo op or for those seeking shade from the hot sun during the day. It’s the perfect strolling beach and a great time to get here all day but especially at dusk and sunset when taking the must do sunset experience is mandatory.

El Bajondillo Beach, located in Torremolinos just outside Málaga, is one of the Costa del Sol’s most accessible and well-equipped urban beaches. Here’s a rundown of the amenities you can expect to find:

Beach Services:
